Rev. David Bahn
David Bahn is a follower of Jesus Christ, husband to Diane, father and grandfather. Since 2005 he has served as Senior Pastor at St. John, having served churches in Utah, Arkansas and Texas since 1979. He holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He is also an avid amateur photographer. He writes a daily blog and regularly posts photos on his photo website: Flowers by God Photos by David.
He also joins his wife in her work with the Pastoral Leadership Institute, where she serves as the director of the Partner (wives) Ministry Program. Recently they have offerred presentations on Marriage and Ministry Partnership, Leadership, Changing Your Congregation’s Culture, and Missional Living. He believes that Jesus’ gift of abundant life (John 10:10) is lived out in a three-dimensional life of Celebrate-Live-Share (love for God, community with others, and mission to the world). Rev. Jeff Doria
Pastor Doria and his wife, Maggie, have one daughter/son-in-law, three teenage boys and a new grandson. He loves sports, motorcycles, landscape design and grilling out. Pastor Doria serves in several different roles within the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod’s Texas District including Circuit Counselor/ Visitor, Constitution Review Committee and Secretary to the Tri-Circuit Pastors’ Conference. Pastor Doria is an adjunct professor teaching religion classes at Concordia University (San Antonio). He received his Master’s degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; his Bachelor’s degree is in Art Education and is certified to teach K-12.
A native of the Washington DC area, Stephen met his wife Natalie while studying at Valparaiso University in northwest Indiana. After finishing up studies at Concordia Seminary in St Louis, he was called to serve at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington, Louisiana. In August 2009, Stephen was installed as the Associate Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, and in 2016, helped to develop and launch CYPRESS CHAPEL, a satellite ministry of St. John. He is inspired by his wife Natalie and three children, Benjamin, Phoebe, and Zoe. Stephen enjoys working with LINC-Houston and develops mission/service opportunities, while helping to empower and encourage others in their ability to walk in and share their faith.
In his free time he can be found with his family, running, exercising on a basketball court/softball field, or waiting patiently in a deer stand. His favorite Bible passage is Romans 8:38-39.
Rev. David Schultz
Pastoral Care Associate
Pastor Schultz is a dedicated prayer champion, facilitator of Bible studies, leader for Stephen Ministry as well as providing other ministry support at St. John. He is also chaplain at the Village at Glenloch Farms.
Rev. John Fibelkorn
Pastoral Care Associate
Pastor Fibelkorn provides shut-in and hospital visits, offering Holy Communion on a regular basis to those who are unable to worship on campus. He also assists with Holy Communion on some Sundays.
Jordan studied music at Valparaiso University where he met his wife, Stephanie. He subsequently completed graduate work as a graduate assistant at Western Michigan University. Jordan loves learning new instruments, teaching lessons and reading. In his spare time, he enjoys working on projects around the house. Stephanie is a teacher in the area. Jordan and Stephanie are blessed to be at St. John. It is their fervent hope and prayer that God uses St. John to reach the lost in the Cypress community.
NewSong Worship Leader
Being loved by Jesus and loving Him are first and foremost for Seth. Through everything he does, his desire is to help people become the best they can be. He has served for 10.5 years in congregations in Minnesota and California and is now thankful to be at St. John. He and his wife, Emily, love music, tech, art, food, traveling, meeting new people, camping, wine and dreaming up new ideas. More than anything, they love spending time laughing, dancing, learning and playing with their two boys, Will & Gus, and their dog, Addie.
Christian Life Coordinator
Amy has been a long-time member of St. John, with family roots here as well. She and Mike, her husband have three grown children: Emma, Travis, & Jason. She has previously served in a large number of volunteer roles at St. John, and together with her engaging smile, has a real heart for Jesus and the people he loves.
